„HiFi“ is Dualizm’s debut album. After producing jazzy “Lofi” beats for several years, he felt like breaking out of the regular confinements of the genre, using hardly any samples and instead playing almost all of the instruments himself as well as inviting guest musicians and other artists into the studio. Apart from his longtime collaborators Grmmr.126 and Guzimi, he has featured the Cologne-based produced duo Wieland & Ulrich as well as singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Howie Doowin/Esches. The album is Dualizm’s most ambitious project yet, incorporating complex arrangements, playing with harmonic changes and weird time signatures and aiming for a more polished sound. Also, the overall objective was to present an array of 14 truly different compositions, trying out many different feelings, sounds, grooves and narrative arcs, while at the same time maintaining the unmistakable bounce and depth that Dualizm has been developing for all these years.
